As you may have discovered online or from your friends, no class is required to obtain a Washington state concealed carry permit. We appreciate the effort of the state government to allow people to so easily exercise your 2nd amendment rights but this does create two significant concerns!
First, because Washington doesn't require any training other states are much less likely to honor our permit. In fact less than 1/2 of US states honor the Washington permit.
Second, these means that far too many Washington citizens might be inclined to carry around a concealed firearm without formal training!
The Solution?
You may consider obtaining an out of state permit from another state such as Utah which will give you greater reciprocity.
